Text Message Marketing is a NECESSITY for Your Wash

Text Message Marketing Meets Your Customers Where They Are

It’s Tuesday morning and the sun is just coming over the horizon. It’s going to be a beautiful day and you want to let everyone know to come to YOUR car wash and not your competitors, so what do you do? It’s simple, you just send a text message to 5000 of your customers in about 30 seconds and fill your bays with happy smiling clean car customers. OR you kick yourself for not signing up with OptSpot to build a rock star text marketing campaign. The choice is yours!

3000. Yep, that’s right. On average, consumers see over 3000 marketing messages every day. How in the world do you compete with that? How do you get your message read and responded to? It’s not just ‘Build It And They Will Come’ anymore and if it is for you, why not have them come more often? But how? There are hundreds of chat apps, public review sites, social sites, email, and text companies. How do you choose? What makes the most sense?

Let’s dig a little deeper. What’s the number one thing people do on their phone? No this is not a trick question and yes the answer is text message. So why in the world would you not want to communicate with your customers where they are; on their phones and in their text messaging app. Text messages have a 98% read rate and most texts are read within about 5 seconds. But it’s not enough to just build a list and send blasts, although very effective if done right, you need to meet your customers where they are with the right messaging at the right time.

What if you could reach back out to your customers who have not been back to YOUR car wash without lifting a finger? Or add members to your social media pages without thinking about it. Oh, and don’t forget about those pesky public review sites like YELP. I know you probably just cringed because I said YELP, but it’s a necessary evil nobody wants to take on. Why? Because it takes time, money and effort. Not only is there YELP, but you have others like Google and Facebook, Trip Advisor and more. Can these multiple resources actually HELP grow your business? Yes, they can, but they can also hurt your business if not managed correctly. How do you do it all? When you went into business for yourself was it because you wanted to hire a full-time staff member to take on these different sites and resources? I didn’t think so, at least that’s the word on the street, but it’s time to take care of business even if you don’t want to.

Do car wash owners need to engage in social media, public review sites, email and text marketing? The answer is YES. Print advertising and email do still work and you can continue to use them, but it’s like saying ‘Oh I’ll just take the wagon across the country instead of this Mustang because it still gets me there. That’s madness. Yes, it’s true the wagon will get you there, but the Mustang will do the same job in a fraction of the time. So, yes, if you want to accelerate your business and take it to the next level, you need to incorporate a plan to tackle these different resources head on and we believe implementing a solid text message marketing plan is all you need to get the ball rolling. You need a Mustang, not a wagon.

At OptSpot we’re not just putting you in a Mustang, we’re getting you into 5th gear. We’re not going to put you in a box. We’re going to come alongside you and put together a fully automated system to help communicate the right message at the right time to the right customer all through text messaging. By doing this, we’ll free up your time, resources and budget! Who doesn’t want to do that? Now is the time.
